New process for generating instagram access token:
1.) Add client instagram account as Instagram Tester
Login to our facebook account(used for access token generation app)
Login to view details…
Go to this url: https://developers.facebook.com/apps/270596150862841/roles/roles/
Click “Add Instagram Testers“
Then select Client Account
It will be pending, you need to login to client account to approve it
2.) Accept tester invite on client's instagram account
Login to client account
Go to this url: https://www.instagram.com/accounts/manage_access/
Accept the tester invite
3.) Authorize and generate access token
Go to this url: https://www.fivebyfive.com.au/instagram-login/
Then, click the “Login with instagram” button
(login with client account), then click authorize
it will then redirect to a page with the generated access token
Updated Instagram Module, converted to plugin
- for easier copy and transfer
- Initial Access Token will now be set in the backend
/wp-admin/admin.php?page=5×5-tools&tab=instagram
- Added auto delete of old posts, will trigger on refresh feed ( if total posts > limit
- Plugin will do the ff:
– create “ff_instagram_feed” post type
– cron for refresh token(weekly), refresh feed(twice daily) > You can get the feed/items in your code with FF_Instagram::get_items
1st parameter = number of items, 2nd parameter = image size(defined by add_image_size)
